"My biggest complaint with oldies is that there aren't any new ones."

The Innocence of Time was formed in 1982 by singer/songwriter Tom Cleary. The concept was to write and record music with a 60's-style sound, but with more modern instrumentation. The end result of the project would be six completed songs collectively entitled Innocence Sought. Completed in 1983, the project was never commercially released.

In 2000, after seventeen years of silence, Tom Cleary and Sal Mingoia discussed plans to reform the band and release a new project. In 2001 it happened - they recorded and released Innocence Found.

The band is proud to continue their affiliation with EvO:R. Charlie Harrelson (founder of EvO:R) is really tops. His energy and commitment is truly an inspiration to members. A recent interview with both Tom and Sal, as well as some behind the scenes information is available.

In 2001... Peter Noone recognized Tom and Sal by establishing a link to the band from his official web site and Steve Allen (www.about.com, MP3 Guide) selected "You've Gotta Hold On" (from the 1983 project) as his February, 2001 Choice MP3 Pick. The band is truly honored!

My hope is that you are as excited about Innocence Found as I am.
~ Tom Cleary, 2001
